Your Therapist
Hi, I'm Kayla,
and I'm glad you're here
I work with adults who are tired of understanding their patterns intellectually but still feel stuck inside them. Many of the people I see are dealing with anxiety, trauma and CPTSD, perfectionism, people-pleasing, relationship patterns, ADHD, OCD, or the lasting impact of growing up in environments where they learned to prioritize everyone else's needs before their own. You don't have to figure it out alone.
"I primarily use IFS because I've found that most symptoms can be addressed by getting to know the part of you that's showing up, then giving that part new skills to help you cope with challenging emotions and situations."
I see clients by secure video anywhere in Arizona, with flexible weekday and evening availability to fit your life.
Work With KaylaMy Philosophy
Therapy isn't about
being fixed
My approach is warm, relational, trauma-informed, and deeply curious. I believe the ways we cope, protect ourselves, and relate to others often make sense once we understand what we've lived through. Rather than focusing only on getting rid of uncomfortable thoughts, feelings, or behaviors, we work together to understand what they're protecting, where they came from, and what you may need in order to feel safer being fully yourself.
I believe you are the expert on your own experience, and I see therapy as a collaborative relationship rather than a place where I tell you how to live your life. Our work may include processing past experiences, noticing patterns in the present, developing greater emotional awareness, strengthening boundaries, building self-trust, and learning new ways of relating to yourself and the people around you.
I integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other evidence-based approaches depending on your individual needs. Above all, I strive to create a space where you can show up honestly, explore the parts of yourself you may have learned to hide or criticize, and experience a relationship grounded in curiosity, compassion, authenticity, and safety.
If you're looking for a therapist who will help you go deeper than simply managing symptoms, and it feels like we may be a good fit, I would be honored to work alongside you.
